Sao is an active and friendly boy who lives with his parents and four siblings in the eastern part of Sierra Leone. They dwell in a two bedroom house roofed with old iron sheets. His parents depend on small scale farming. They grow rice, cassava, yam and vegetables. The mother does backyard gardening as an additional source of income. Some of the crops when harvested are sold to meet the other needs of the family. The annual income of the family is estimated at US $ 235 which the father manages to earn after sales from the farming products. This amount is not enough to take good care of the basic needs of the family. Sao is attending school in his community. He likes playing soccer with his peers. He likes drawing and coloring. Sponsorship would help this boy have a good education, succeed in life and get a brighter future.
