Neha belongs to a poverty stricken family living in a village in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Her father is a laborer and earns a mere pittance. His income is approximately US dollar 313 per annum which is insufficient for him to cater to the needs of the family. He strives to make ends meet. The mother is a housewife and she takes care of all the household chores. The parents are anxious to provide good food, clothing and education for their children. But they are unable to do so due to low and irregular income. Hence they approached this project for help. Neha is in primary school. Her favorite subject is Hindi, the national language. Her health is average. Neha has two sisters and three brothers.
