Kaddijatou and her family live in a mud block house of one bedroom in a rural village in the west coast region of the Gambia. She is the first child of her parents as of now. She is kind and friendly to her age mate. She is attending primary school in her home village. She likes playing, singing and dancing with her peers. Her favorite food is Domoda, which is a nice and rich diet. Her parents are subsistence farmers who depend on rain-fed agriculture to make a living. They grow beans, maize and peanuts, after the harvest from the farm, her father sells part of the products, and money is used for family needs whilst the rest of the products are for family consumption. The annual combined income of the family from their farming activities is low and this alone cannot afford the familys basic needs year-round. Therefore needs Child Fund support to improve her well being.
