Iyan is a lovely boy who comes from the Northern part of Kenya, Turkana County. He lives with his parents and one brother. They live in an thatched roofed and mud walled house in a communal land and they fetch water from the community hand pump. His father depends on charcoal burning while his mother makes handmade mats for survival. However, the annual income derived from this economic activity is below 360 US dollars which is not enough to support the family needs. Iyan goes to a nearby school in the village and performs better in mathematics and science. Moreover, he loves playing football with his friends during free time. He helps the family by fetching water from the community handpump. He aspires to be a doctor in future.
