MEET EYE OF THE CHILD PUBLIC RELATIONS, COMMUNICATION AND MARKERTING OFFICER  

The Registered Trustees of Eye of the Child in Malawi are pleased to welcome and introduce Asiyatu JAMES who has joined the organization to work as  Communication and marketing Officer also responsible for Public Relations.

Asiyatu brings to Eye of the Child her vast experience in communication and marketing skills. She has a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from Mzuzu University and Diploma in Journalism from the University of Malawi- the Polytechnic. 

The Registered Trustees of Eye of the Child in Malawi introduce Asiyatu to the media as the organization Public Relation Officer who could be contact for information and organization position on matters of national interest related to the promotion of children rights in Malawi.

Eye of the Child is a registered, Child rights, not-for-profit, non-political, and non-governmental Organization in Malawi. It however conducts several Business to raise resources that finance its Chairity activities in Malawi.  The organization was established on 28th February 1995 as a response to the need for a strong advocacy organization that work actively and holistically for the protection, care and justice for children in Malawi.

The organization Vision seek to contribute towards the creation of “A Malawi Free of abuse, exploitation and Violence against Children” by offerings the following charity services: - 
1.    Regularly monitor, document and report on the specific situation of children and compliance with international standards and advocate for corrective action.
2.    Lobby for review, development and enactment of laws, policies, programme of action, and by-laws for the best interest of children.
3.    Advocate, monitor and lobby for adequate budget allocation for children.
4.    Promote children participation in matters concerning them.
5.    Contribute towards the development of vulnerable children and parents’ livelihood.
6.    Conduct public awareness campaign and civic education on all issues affecting the child.
7.    Train and strengthen the knowledge and skills of services providers and individuals in Psychosocial Support, child rights, care, protection, parenting, social welfare; and justice; and
8.    Provide legal support services and protection to children affected by abuse, violence and exploitation.
